The Federal Association of German Professional Hunters (BDB) represents the only professional group that learns both the centuries-old craft of hunting with its diverse range of tasks and the requirements of modern wildlife and environmental management within the framework of a three-year, state-recognised training.
With its experience, interest and knowledge, the BDB, to which the vast majority of the approximately 1,000 professional hunters working in Germany belong, is one of the most important contacts and mediators when it comes to professional hunting practice, game management, nature, animal and species conservation and habitat design for our wildlife.
Professional hunters work in private, municipal or state hunting and forestry administrations, in game management associations, in protected areas, in associations and in hunting education and training.
