Extension of our production facility

AKO-Agrartechnik inaugurated their new extension and renovation in early January. A warehouse was built and the communal rooms renovated and extended in just 12 months. The development department also moved into newly remodelled rooms. The total investment amounted to just under 3 million euros.

‘We are ensuring the continued positive development of AKO-Agrartechnik with this investment. We will be able to optimise internal processes in the future and are therefore for very well prepared for the increase in competition,’ said Markus Öxle, managing director of AKO-Agrartechnik. ‘We have created a modern atmosphere of well-being for our staff with the renovation and extension of the communal rooms,’ according to Michael Spöcker, authorised representative and project manager at AKO.

Extending the working area was urgently needed, as the number of electric fence devices produced had quadrupled since the move from Kißlegg to Wangen-Gieselharz 12 years ago. Now the construction is finished, there are a total of 3,000 pallet spaces available in the warehouse. In future, electric fence units will be manufactured in over 1,000 m² of assembly space using state of the art technology. ‘We produce all our electric fence units in Wangen to ensure the highest quality,’ said Markus Öxle.

The construction was carried out according to high technical standards. A new heat pump provides the right atmosphere in the assembly department. In addition, the built-in thermal insulation exceeds current requirements, guaranteeing reduced energy consumption. ‘Collaborating with the companies and planners involved in the build worked very well,’ continued Michael Spöcker delightedly. They made a point of only working with companies from the region.
